Faster Pastor

I'm competing in the annual "Faster Pastor" race at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Georgia on Friday, June 13.

Here's a picture of me getting a feel for the stock car that I will be driving, which belongs to church member David Smith.

Tickets are $12, available at the church office and also on Sundays at the Welcome Center of the church. Our church gets 50% of the ticket sale, and I'm donating the proceeds to the building fund for our church's new children's building.

Loving New Orleans

Here are pictures of the Mature Adult Mission Team from our church that went to New Orleans this week and helped Terra, and Regina, two New Orleans homeowners, get their houses repaired so they could come back to their homes. They were helping Operation NOAH (New Orleans Area Housing). Milton and Jason are the guys in red shirts with Terra. Greg, our music minister who led the trip, is holding a level with Debra, our senior adult coordinator.
