There Goes the Bride
On Saturday, June 24, our oldest daughter, Melissa, became Mrs. Steven Dalton and moved to Virginia. It was a beautiful wedding. When the wedding was over, I felt kind of like these two fellows.

Do our daughters really have to grow up? I'm not sure the whole "grow up, get married, move away from Dad" thing is a good idea. But, on second thought, grandkids should be cool! Congratulations, Bob.
I didn't have any girls so it was great adding some to the fold. Getting daughter-in-laws is a much better deal. Besides they have given me two beautiful grandaughters.
Hey, Tim, good to hear from you. Melissa is in no hurry to have children, but it's certainly in their future plans. Of course, I won't wait until then to visit them in Virginia. Besides, I've gotta see more of those Civil War battle sites.

Thanks, Doug. Yeah, it's a big adjustment. Like the old saying, though, I'm not losing a daughter, I'm gaining a son.
